Location: Flexible Location (Preferably Global Hub, Woking or where Plan International has a legal entity and you have the pre-existing right to live and work). Employment terms will be based on local conditions.

As the Deployable Global Security Advisor, you will work within the Plan International Global Safety and Security Team and will provide operational advice and technical leadership across the organization, including high risk locations such as disaster areas and fragile or conflict affected states. You will provide direct support to staff at multiple levels Country Office, Regional Office, Global Hub (CO, RO, GH and Liaison Offices) to help ensure offices are prepared to operate in a range of security contexts and able to quickly and effectively respond to incidents and crises. You will also deputize for the Director of Safety and Security as needed. You will be expected to deploy, occassionally at short notice, to high risk areas
In order to be successful in this role you will need to have a deep conceptual understanding of security risk management and risk assessment processes in high risk areas, as well as experience managing them.
You will have demonstrable experience in teaching or training security courses and workshops, especially with technical or specialised material. As well as experience building and implementing a security programme in an international NGO.
A confident communicator in English and French (or Spanish) with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively and at all levels.
