Goodbye to Alex (EISF Research and Projects Assistant)

Published: April 20, 2017

After 9 months supporting EISF with our projects and research, Alex Marriage will be leaving us next Wednesday 26th of April to search for his next exciting role within the NGO sector. Alex joined EISF in August 2016 as Research and Projects Assistant on a part-time basis primarily to take lead in the development of our new Themes web page, which was launched in March 2017. This has meant prowling around our library looking for documents to make the Themes web page as useful and relevant as possible. He is now probably very sick of Excel spreadsheets but most certainly a pro in spreadsheet filtering as well as Google Analytics!

Alex has also supported EISF in the planning and logistics of EISF’s last two members’ forums. For the Brussels Forum, Alex developed the event programme, led on preparation and oversight of the speakers’ presentations, and is now finalising the notes for the event. Whilst with EISF, Alex has made sure our Twitter account continues tweeting and has supported us with the social media aspect of our communications strategy. Alex’s parting gift to us was a great blog on the impact of counter-terrorist financing regulations on NGOs, an area he has a lot of expertise in.

I know in the last 9 months he has met or been in contact with a great many of you on a number of these and other projects, and I hope you will join me in thanking him for all his hard work and wishing him all the best in his future career. Thanks, Alex!
