  • The humanitarian space has become increasingly hostile and difficult in many regions and managers face significant challenges to safety and security. This training enables managers to focus on the main security challenges affecting the region, the country and specific local problems. We will discuss and practise some key mechanisms for reducing threats and risks, and learn ways of building a culture of safety and security that will benefit the entire programme.

  • The Objectives of the Training:

    • Establishing a culture of safety and security through awareness, strategies and practical preparation.
    • Managers will develop key skills in identifying threats, and ways to respond effectively to hostile conditions.
    • Review and practice reducing personal and organisational risks and mitigating threats to programme implementation.
    • Reviewing roles and responsibilities during critical incidents, and practising effective responses.


    Course Details:
    This 4-day training course will include practical activities, coaching and advising, mentoring and classroom activities with highly interactive and challenging experiences.

    Specific, regional and generic security threats will be addressed, ensuring the highest possible impact.

    Each day will start at 09.00 and end at 17.00.
